What is Verizon FiOS?

Verizon FiOS is a TV, Internet and phone service that is currently available in select areas of the United States where Verizon, a telecommunications company, provide service.

Verizon FIOS is available in the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

While fiber optic systems have been used for years for long-haul, inter-city, or large businesses that required data transfer, Verizon is currently the only telecom that offers fiber optic service directly to consumers’ homes. At present, approximately 2.7 million homes have FiOS access.  The company plan to invest up to $23 billion into the system at a cost of $4,000 per household.

• You can store up to 37 hours of HD content or up to 133 hours of SD content
• Record more of the show you want to see with soft padding, which automatically adds 1 minute to the beginning and 2 minutes to the end of each pre-scheduled recording.
• Program DVR while on the go from your PC or wireless phone.
