If you’re both a Vonage customer and Comcast customer and have had concerns about quality then there is some good news today. CNET reports that Vonage and Comcast will work together to ensure that Vonage’s Internet phone service works well on Comcasts’ network.
“This collaboration with Vonage, and our outreach to many key participants in the Internet community, demonstrate that we are committed to provide network management solutions that benefit consumers and competition” Tony Werner, Comcast Chief Technology Officer, said in a statement.
Basically what Comcast is doing is trying to convince customers that it’s not trying to give competitive services a disadvantage on their network. Comcast also markets a VOIP home phone service on it’s network.
